Beverley market has been cancelled this Saturday, 9th January 2010, for Health & Safety reasons.
Heavy snow across our region has forced the market officer and East Riding County Council to cancel Beverley market this weekend, Saturday 9th January 2010. The snow has severely affected transport systems around the local area, with many bus routes being cancelled along with dangerous driving and walking conditions. The decision has therefore been made to cancel the market this weekend to avoid any potential accidents caused by heavy snow, which is set to continue over the weekend.
Forecasts for the coming week look more promising and we can therefore expect the market to re-open on Saturday 16th January 2010, if not before. Once we receive more details, a further notice will be posted on our site.
For those who had already planned visiting Beverley market this weekend, please accept our apologies for only providing a very short notice period of the cancellation.
